The Sower: March 2019

“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are – yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” – Hebrews 4:15-16

Experts have said over and over that the first step in healing, overcoming or beating a problem is to admit that there is a problem or issue that needs to be fixed. So many struggle with this first step. It is hard to pull back the curtain on one’s own life and see things as they really are.

Believer’s Bible Commentary: “His MERCY covers the things we should not have done.” – William MacDonald

“His GRACE empowers us to do what we should do but do not have the power to do.” – William MacDonald

Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV): The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Knowing there is One who is full of mercy and grace and stands ready to freely extend that mercy and grace to all that seek Him helps to make that first step possible.

Praise God for His mercy and grace.
