The Sower: May 2020

“Therefore everyone who hears words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.” – Matthew 7:24-25

Our lives have been turned upside down. Very few can say they have lived through a time such as this. It is frightening, scary, and unpredictable. So much of what we counted on and expected to always be there is now closed, canceled, postponed, or maybe gone for good. Maybe that’s the problem – we exchanged the Rock for sand. Our worldly lives have changed, but the foundation the Rock, remains steadfast. We can find solace in the Eternal in times of upheaval in our earthly lives. Revisit the verse above.

Renewal and revival will come.

Jesus speaking, “…and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20

“…I (the Lord your God) will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,” so that we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:5b-6, Deuteronomy 31:6, Psalm 118:6)
